Paul Sullivan
Following completion of his undergraduate Medical degree at the University of Toronto, Dr. Sullivan entered the General Surgery residency program there. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2001. He then went on to complete a one year clinical fellowship in advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University Health Network. He became an active Staff member in the Department of Surgery when he started his clinical practice at Toronto East General Hospital in 2002 where he spent two and a half years before settling in at St Joseph’s Health Centre.
His clinical interests are in all aspects of advanced Laparoscopy including Bariatric Surgery, and he is a member of the U. of T. Bariatric Program. In his role as clinical educator in the Department of Surgery, he is actively involved in teaching general surgery residents, MIS fellows, and participates as faculty in many Continuing Education courses in minimally invasive Surgery. He held the post of program director for the U. of T. Minimally invasive Surgery fellowship from 2004 until 2009. He is the current physician lead for Clinical Informatics at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
