Christiane Werneck
Biography:
Dr. Christiane Werneck completed medical school at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. She trained and practiced in Cardiovascular Surgery in Brazil and subsequently did a fellowship in Vascular Ultrasonography. She then completed an additional 4 years of fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Toronto. She joined the faculty in 2008 and is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Surgery. She completed a Master’s of Science in Community Health with emphasis in Education and also has a certificate in Education through the Stepping Stones Teacher Development Program and Education Scholars Program, both from the Centre for Faculty Development at the University of Toronto. She is also certified to perform and interpret vascular ultrasound by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
She also has a great interest in Medical Education and is currently the Education Lead in Surgery, Site Lead for the Residency Program in Vascular Surgery and Co -Director of Anatomy Course.
